Whether you're new to climbing or been climbing for years, this season's WBL is a competition for all.
You have two weeks to complete every round, and our scoring system means that everyone of every ability has a chance of winning.
At £3 (plus normal entry) there's no excuse to not get involved!
Round 1: 2nd November
Round 2: 7th December
Round 3: 11th January
Round 4: 1st February
Round 5: 8th March
Under 14's (M/F)
Fun (M/F) - New to climbing/climbing up to red
Psyched (M/F) - Consistently climbing purple and above.
Why should I enter?
Comp nights are not only fun, but a great way to challenge yourself and improve. You don't have to be part of a team or climbing group, come along on your own, meet new people and join the fun.
How does it work?
Grab yourself a £3 scorecard from the reception desk (one scorecard per participant).
Climb as many of the SBL problems as possible, you have two weeks to work through them.
Mark down your attempts and tally up those scores.
Hand your score card back to the reception and at the end of the two weeks the winner will then be announced via our Blog, Instagram and Facebook.
What is the scoring format?
30 problems will be set ranging from V0-V8+.
Your score for each problem is determined by how many attempts you make before completing it.
First attempt (flash) = 10pts
Second attempt = 7pts
Third attempt = 4pts
Fourth attempt or more = 1pt
Your total score will then represent your category/pot
Pot 1: 0 – 50 points
Pot 2: 51 – 100 points
Pot 3: 101 – 150 points
Pot 4: 151 – 200 points
Pot 5: 201 – 250 points
Pot 6: 251 – 300 points
Alongside the main raffle prizes, we will announce an overall winner from each round for their respective category.
Good luck everyone!
