THE HANGAR GAMES: MORE THAN A COMP

Let's get something straight: The Hangar Games is more than a climbing comp. It's an unmissable youth climbing event. If you're a young climber wanting to take your game to the next level you'll find something here whether you compete for the top prizes or not.

  • Brand new comp climbs
  • Athlete development
  • Advice for parents/guardians
  • The North Face pro climber Q&A's
  • Prize draws
  • Food and drink included

NEW FOR 2024: ONE DAY, THREE VENUES

This year, the action will unfold at THREE Hangar venues simultaneously, with comps taking place at Exeter, Reading and Sheffield on Saturday 12 October 2024.

Youth climbers from all over the country will go head to head in a test of skill, strength and strategy.

It's your chance to take on a brand new comp set and represent your climbing gym.

SPECIAL GUESTS:

From The North Face athletes to Hangar ambassadors and medal winning Olympians, The Hangar Games promises some extra special guests to dish out the psyche and provide some invaluable insight and advice to young climbers.

At Hangar Sheffield, The North Face athlete, and Paris 2024 climber Molly Thompson Smith, will be on site cheering on competitors alongside GB paraclimber and Hangar ambassador Luke Jamieson.

At Hangar Exeter, Paris 2024 Speed Climbing Bronze Medallist Aleksandra Kalucka will host a goal setting workshop for young athletes and also hand out prizes at the end of the big comp. She’ll be joined at the event by GB paraclimber James Rudge who’ll dish out plenty of psych and inspiration along the way. Lukey Smith, GB paraclimber and part of Ellis Brigham team will also be present.

Finally, at Hangar Reading, one of the UK’s hottest young climbing prospects Louise Flockhart will host a dynamic climbing workshop and there will also be an appearance by TJ from The North Face Explorer team and member of the Clmbxr community.
