The same, only different: How climbing helped me find my people

How to support The Hangar during lockdown

We have once again been forced to close our doors due to coronavirus and have frozen all of our memberships, so that nobody will pay another penny to The Hangar until they feel safe and comfortable to return, post-lockdown. But we have been overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of our members. Here's how some of our members are choosing to support the Hangar. We know this won't be for everyone, but we have to give those who wish to help the chance to do so.

Hangar Liverpool and Plymouth forced to close due to COVID-19

The Climbing Hangar has once again been forced to close due to government guidance on Covid-19. We cannot confirm a reopening date at this time. All pre-booked sessions and classes have been cancelled and every customer who has already paid for a session will receive a refund.   All memberships will be frozen, and members won’t pay another penny until they return to the wall.

Mind Games: Overcoming setbacks (climbing in lockdown)

At the turn of the year, pro climber Alex Waterhouse was looking forward to his debut on the IFSC circuit. Then 2020 happened and the season was cancelled. Alex discusses lockdown from the perspective of a pro athlete, from letting go of a long-held dream to rediscovering his motivation to train hard, despite many setbacks.
